 When: Friday, July 31 begining at noon to Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009 ending at 11:59 p.m. SLT/PDT

 Where: Platinum, Iridium, Rhodium & Palladium

 How Much: Free

 The convention is free to attend except during its main event on Saturday, August 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. SLT, when the convention grounds will be closed to the public. The convention will have multiple science fiction groups and vendors on hand as well as an assortment of events. All the proceeds earned from donations and ticket sales go to the American Cancer Society.

 Tickets are on sale now for the main event! Anyone may purchase the tickets via XStreetSL.Com and Apez.Biz. When looking to buy a ticket, search for “R3 Event Ticket”. Space is limited and all those who do acquire a ticket will be required to join a special event group.

 Main Event - “Rod” Roddenberry Roundtable

 On Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 3 to 5 p.m. PT, the son of Gene Roddenberry, "Rod", will be making a public appearance on SecondLife on behalf of IFT. The event will be in a question and answer town hall format. Audience participants may ask questions about Rod's parents, the status of the Roddenberry company today, any current and future production plans and what Rod does in his spare time. This event costs $100L ($0.25 USD) and all proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society. Everything is first come, first served and the ability to listen to streaming audio is required.

 Schedule:
- Friday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to noon SLT - Set-up
- Friday, July 31 starting at noon SLT - Open
- Saturday, August 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. SLT - Special Event [Ticket Holders Only]
- Sunday, August 2 from 9 p.m. - Close
- Sunday, August 2 from 9 p.m. to midnight SLT - Tear-down
- Friday through Sunday - Various side events.

 Who:
  Various science fiction based groups will be on hand or have information available to those who wish to get involved in the SL science fiction community. Some will even be holding free side events. There will be science fiction based vendors, an assortment of media and freebies.
